FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE FAMILY OF A CIVIL SERVANT WHO
DIES WHILE IN SERVICE
I am directed to refer to this Department's policy letter
bearing No.FD.SR-1/3-10/2004, dated 15.08.2017 on the subject cited above and
state that a question has arisen as to whether the entitled legal heir(s) who
are drawing monthly salary against the post of the OSD, created due to the in
service death of a civil servant through Direct Credit System (DCS), shall
produce a life certificate / No marriage certificate to the Accountant General,
Punjab/DAO, as the case may be, bi- anually, in the prescribed Forms-C and C-I
respectively in person or through his banker or otherwise.
2. The case has been examined and it is clarified that the
entitled legal heir(s), who are drawing monthly salary against the post of the
OSD created due to in service death of a civil servant through Direct Credit
System (DCS), in terms of above referred policy letter, shall produce a life
certificate/No marriage certificate, as the case may be, to the Accountant
General, Punjab/DAO, as the case may be, bi-annually, in the prescribed Forms-C
and C-l respectively in person or through his banker (copies enclosed)
